Hope Chest Campaign is a Success!

During the month of October, 2002, The Carson Law Firm collected items for a hope chest to distribute to shelters for battered women. The generosity of our community was tremendous, and we received countless donations of shampoos and other hair care products, perfumes, lotions, clothing and jewelry. We hope that these items will help nurture the souls of battered women in the St. Louis area. Thanks to all who participated!

Hope Chest Donations Sought

October is "Domestic Violence Awareness Month" and The Carson Law Firm is collecting items to be put in a Hope Chest to be presented to local battered women's shelters.

Women who have been forced to seek refuge in a shelter have lost many things, including hope. Hope of feeling beautiful and proud and worthy.

For a young woman preparing to marry, a Hope Chest contains the things that make her feel special: lacy lingerie, a fancy perfume atomizer, embroidered tea towels, a satin robe, a silver handled brush and mirror.

We want to collect items for a Hope Chest to present to the
battered women in our community, and we need help from you.

The next time you buy cosmetics and get some samples free, bring the samples to us for the Hope Chest. The next time you look at the earrings that you never wear, put them in your purse and bring them to us to put in the Hope Chest. The next time you see a cloth covered diary or an inspirational book on the sale table at the store, buy one and bring it to us for the Hope Chest.

Domestic violence is everywhere. It affects your neighbor, your postal carrier, your son's teacher and the nurse at your daughter's school. These women need our blankets and our clothes and our cash donations, but they also need our nurturing for their spirit.

Every woman is beautiful. Lets help those directly affected by
family violence feel that way.
